Η Amalia Bennett αποφοίτησε από το Laban Centre το 1993. Έκτοτε ζει και εργάζεται στην Ελλάδα ως χορεύτρια με την Kinitiras Company και με τον Κωνσταντίνο Ρήγο, ως χορεύτρια και βοηθός του για περισσότερο από μία δεκαετία. Το 2000 άρχισε να εργάζεται ως ανεξάρτητη χορογράφος στο θέατρο, συνεργαζόμενη με το Εθνικό Θέατρο της Ελλάδας, την Εθνική Λυρική Σκηνή, τη Στέγη Γραμμάτων και Τεχνών και το Φεστιβάλ Αθηνών. Συνεργάζεται με τον σκηνοθέτη Nikita Milivojevic από το 2002.

Η Amalia έχει εργαστεί στην Κίνα, τις ΗΠΑ, τον Καναδά, τη Σερβία, τη Σλοβενία, τη Σουηδία και τη Γερμανία. Από το 1994 διδάσκει κίνηση για ηθοποιούς στη Δραματική Σχολή του Εθνικού Θεάτρου στην Αθήνα και τη Θεσσαλονίκη, καθώς και στο Ωδείο Αθηνών. Έχει επίσης διδάξει master classes στην Ακαδημία Δραματικής Τέχνης του Νόβι Σαντ.

Το 2024 τιμήθηκε με το βραβείο Καλύτερης Σκηνοθεσίας στα Βραβεία Αθηνοράματος για την παραγωγή της «City Lights».

Amalia Bennett graduated from the Laban Centre in 1993 . Since then she has been based in Greece working as a dancer with Kinitiras Company and with Kostandinos Rigos as dancer and assistant for over a decade. In 2000 she began working as a freelance choreographer in the theatre working in the National Theatres of Greece, National Opera of Greece, Stegi Gramaton Kai Texnon and the Athens Festival. She has worked with the director Nikita Milivojevic since 2002.

Amalia has worked in China, USA, Canada, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden and Germany. She has been teaching movement for actors since 1994 in the Drama School of the National Theatre in Athens and Thessaloniki as well as The Athens Conservatory. She has taught Master classes in Novi Sad Drama Academy.

In 2024 she was awarded best director in the Athinorama Awards for her production of City Lights.
