Ο Nikita Milivojević είναι ένας από τους σημαντικότερους Σέρβους σκηνοθέτες της σύγχρονης θεατρικής σκηνής, με διεθνή παρουσία και πολυετή καλλιτεχνική πορεία.
Έχει σκηνοθετήσει περισσότερες από 80 θεατρικές παραστάσεις στη Σερβία και στο εξωτερικό, ενώ έχει εργαστεί επίσης στον κινηματογράφο και την τηλεόραση. Έχει συνεργαστεί με θέατρα και οργανισμούς σε χώρες όπως η Μεγάλη Βρετανία, η Ιταλία, η Γερμανία, η Σλοβενία, η Κύπρος, η Σουηδία, οι Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες, η Τουρκία και η Βόρεια Μακεδονία.
Στην Ελλάδα, ο Nikita Milivojević έχει αναπτύξει μια ουσιαστική και διαχρονική συνεργασία με σημαντικούς θεατρικούς και πολιτιστικούς οργανισμούς. Έχει σκηνοθετήσει τον «Πλούτο» του Αριστοφάνη σε συμπαραγωγή με το Εθνικό Θέατρο, στο Αρχαίο Θέατρο της Επιδαύρου, με μικτό θίασο Ελλήνων και Σέρβων ηθοποιών. Στο πλαίσιο της «Ελευσίνα – Πολιτιστική Πρωτεύουσα της Ευρώπης 2023», σκηνοθέτησε τους «Πέρσες» του Αισχύλου (Μυστήριο 35). Παράλληλα, έχει παρουσιάσει στην Αθήνα την παράσταση «Underground», βασισμένη στο έργο του Ντούσαν Κοβάσεβιτς και την ομώνυμη ταινία του Εμίρ Κουστουρίτσα, η οποία ανέβηκε στο Θέατρο Ακροπόλ και γνώρισε μεγάλη απήχηση.
Την περίοδο 2005–2009 διετέλεσε Γενικός Διευθυντής του BITEF – Belgrade International Theatre Festival και του Bitef Theatre. Από το 2009 διδάσκει Υποκριτική και Σκηνοθεσία στην Ακαδημία Τεχνών του Νόβι Σαντ. Το 2014 ίδρυσε το Shakespeare Festival στη Σερβία, μέλος του European Shakespeare Festival Network. Από το 2022 είναι Καλλιτεχνικός Διευθυντής του BITEF.
Nikita Milivojević is one of the leading Serbian theatre directors of today, with a distinguished international career.
He has directed more than 80 theatre productions in Serbia and abroad and has also worked in film and television. His international collaborations include theatres and institutions in Greece, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, Cyprus, Sweden, the United States, Turkey and North Macedonia.
In Greece, Nikita Milivojević has developed a substantial and long-standing collaboration with major theatrical and cultural institutions. He directed Aristophanes’ Plutus in co-production with the National Theatre of Greece, presented at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, featuring a mixed cast of Greek and Serbian actors. Within the framework of Eleusis – European Capital of Culture 2023, he directed Aeschylus’ Persians (Mystery 35). In parallel, he presented in Athens the production Underground, based on the play by Dušan Kovačević and the homonymous film by Emir Kusturica, which was staged at the Acropol Theatre and received wide acclaim.
From 2005 to 2009 he served as General Director of BITEF – Belgrade International Theatre Festival and the Bitef Theatre. Since 2009 he has been a professor of Acting and Directing at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. In 2014 he founded the Shakespeare Festival in Serbia, part of the European Shakespeare Festival Network. Since 2022 he has been the Artistic Director of BITEF.
